Hello & Welcome to Slow Release Psychology

My name is Jessica – I’m both a parent and a partner to individuals living with Type 1 Diabetes. As a Clinical Psychologist, my approach blends evidence-based practice and therapy with lived experience.

I am an endorsed Clinical Psychologist, registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). I bring over a decade of clinical training and experience, combined with personal insight, to support individuals and families navigating the complexities of life with Type 1 Diabetes.

At Slow Release Psychology, my professional focus is on supporting people living with Type 1 Diabetes and those connected to them, as well as providing supervision to mental health professionals who wish to offer informed and tailored care to the Type 1 community.

My approach is grounded in the understanding that physical health is deeply intertwined with emotional and mental well-being. I believe that caring for mental health is an essential part of managing diabetes well. My evidence-based approach focuses on enhancing clients’ overall quality of life while living with Type 1 Diabetes.

Supervision at Slow Release Psychology offers a reflective space – with guidance from someone who understands both professionally and personally the impacts of Type 1 Diabetes.

Jessica is an AHPRA Board-Approved Supervisor. She has an interest in supporting early career psychologists and psychologists supporting clients who have Type 1 Diabetes and their families.

Supervision is offered for Registered Psychologists, Clinical Psychology Registrars, and early career Clinical Psychologists working with young people and adults.
